Multiplatinum, Rock and Roll, Vocal Group and Grammy Halls of Fame members, The Platters, were originally comprised of founder and naming member Herb Reed, Tony Williams, Paul Robi, Zola Taylor and David Lynch. In 1955, the quintet crashed through the racial divide that existed in the United States paving the way for them to become one of the preeminent vocal groups of all time.
Today the group continues to open the hearts and minds of new generations of music consumers to the rich vocal and historical tradition that is The Platters making their timeless melodies relevant to all ages of worldwide fans.
Show business has never seen a group quite like THE COASTERS®. They occupy a special niche in the music field. Because of their style and approach, they are in a class of their own.
THE ORIGINAL COASTERS, the first vocal group that was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, was Carl Gardner, (deceased) Billy Guy, (deceased) Will Jones, (deceased) Cornell Gunter, (deceased).
